MEMBERSHIPS:

Memberships are open to any person or group interested in helping our organization save and rehabilitate equine in need. There are NO Membership dues. We just ask that you volunteer a minimum number of hours to remain active. All members will receive a copy of the monthly newsletter and important announcements pertaining to the Rescue’s business. VOLUNTEERS:

Our organization is run only by our volunteers. That is why every volunteer is important so to us. We are in need of inspectors, foster homes, haulers, fundraising, labor, paperwork, field work, or just spending quality time caring for the horses. All this work - and much more - is made possible by members and volunteers. To be able to accomplish that, volunteers are needed at every level and in EVERY state! Your time volunteering your membership is the single most important source in helping AFH INC in our efforts to financially and emotionally support all the horses that come through our facility.

SPONSORSHIPS:

Sponsoring a horse allows you to help aid in the financial costs it takes for a horse that may need to continue undergoing rehabilitation from illness or injury. Your contribution will help cover the added care and extra expenses it takes until the horse is fully rehabilitated and is able to be placed into a permanent adoptive home family.

It also helps us with the horses that remain on the farm to help educate the children on responsible horse ownership, safety, proper care and what happens when a horse has been badly abused or neglected. Please see more information on our Round up For Youth children's program. Your sponsorship will help to provide ongoing care so the horse can remain a viable part of our children's program.

Sponsorship funds are also available to help our foster home families cover the care and expenses of an equine they are temporarily housing until a placement or adoption home becomes available. Please Click on the link for more information on our Sponsorships.

ADOPTION:

Adoption can be one of the most rewarding and wonderful experiences of your life. There is nothing better than knowing you made the difference in a horses life.

Regardless of the reason you adopt, our goal is to satisfy the needs of our adopters and provide horses with the loving homes they deserve. We strive to match our horses with adopters in every way to be sure EACH horse and it's new family is happy. If the horse you want isn't on our list, please fill out an application and we'll contact you when it becomes available!

Already see a horse you want? Fill out the application and get it back to us. Once we have approved you as an adopter, we will put you in contact with so you can get additional information on the horse and make arrangements to visit to make your final decision. Once you are sure it is the horse you want to adopt, we will mail you an adoption finalization contract and a copy of our rules and regulations for you to sign. Return the signed contract along with the appropriate fees and that's it! We will arrange transportation to your facility so you can take your new friend home. Fostering Horses

Foster Home Families: WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Do you want to help an equine in need by providing a place in your pasture?

An important part of our program is our national network of qualified foster home families throughout the US needing temporary placement while they are awaiting their forever home.(The average time a horse spends with a foster is 2-6 months) We have horses awaiting foster homes with various abilities, training issues, rehabilitation or just need some good, old fashioned love and attention. We encourage anyone thinking about fostering, to contact us for a foster home family packet.

DONATE YOUR HORSE:

As a horse owner, parting with your beloved friend is one of the toughest decisions you may have to make. Sometimes circumstances arise out of your control. Until now, your options have been to sell or give away your horse, without knowing if he/she would be loved and cared for.

Donating your horse to AFH INC will guarantee a good home through our adoption program. Adopters are not people who buy on impulse and are more selective. They fill out a lengthy application and subject themselves to interviews and follow-up home visits.

We make every effort to place your horse in a loving home which helps make your hard decision of finding a new home for your horse a little easier. Please click on the link above for more information on how AFH INC can help you find a compatible loving home for your horse.

Available Placements

Angels4Horses Inc helps horse owners find homes for their horses throughout the United States. At times, you may not need to find an immediate home for your horse and may want to select the new owner yourself. We have a placement service available to help you sell your horse. It is one way we can volunteer our time to help more horses find great homes. If you have a horse you need to sell and would like us to help you find a home, please click on the link above for more information. Below are photos of the current horses available for placement.

You may also choose to use our yahoo group to place an advertisement of your horse if you do not wish to use our placement service. The purpose of this group is to allow horse owners an alternative to using auctions to sell the unwanted horses. 75% of horses that go through the auctions end going to slaughter. We are giving an outlet for horse owners to place ads on this board to find good compatible homes for their horses to avoid taking them to auctions. Please feel free to post: want ads, free horse, for sale, for adoption...all equine in need of homes can be placed and we welcome you to our new group. We hope this works out to help you either find a horse or place a horse.

We also would like to give you the opportunity to add or ask advise on proper horse care or other information that will aid in helping horses throughout the United States.
